How To Make Pot Racks A Fashion Statement

Pot racks are unique in that they are a very serviceable item and still an ornamental one. Now that you have decided to install a pot rack or have already have one in your kitchen why not give it a stylish flair and make it a part of your kitchen decorations. You can give it a decorative flair without compromising its usefulness.

To decorate your rack you will need a few simple supplies. You will need some brass polish, pot scrubbers, white Christmas lights, artificial flowers, vines or leaves, and a potted plant.

To begin be sure that all your pots are well scrubbed. The rack is for displaying your pots by hanging them up. This gives space in your cupboard and makes your pots very handy. Of course the pot rack will look much more attractive when your pots are polished. Get rid of any burns, black marks or other unsightly things that collect on pots and pans. They will look so attractive hanging up that the elbow grease will merit the energy.

If you have brass-bottomed pots or cookware or brass pots they need to be polished. Brass is a beautiful addition to the kitchen and provides a feeling of elegance.

The chains that hold the pot rack can be decorated. You can use the artificial flowers, vines or leaves and weave them in and out along the chain. The white Christmas lights can be wound around the chains which make it a nice night light for late night kitchen visits.

Any kind of small house plant can be placed on the top of the pot rack to add interest like a spider plant, fern or maybe a plant of the season. By doing this, even when you are using your pots and pans and the rack stands almost empty it will still have a decorative appeal.

Before adding too much or placing a heavy plant make sure that the weight limits are suitable. You can always use an artificial plant instead of a real one which is much lighter and still very attractive and decorative.
